Pinned toot

I have a few pieces currently on display at the hair salon GREEN, here in Cherbourg.
Art exhibit in the time of COVID.

Not everything sucked this year, and it never really does.
Our best wishes to friends and family here and away, as well as our thoughts for those gone forever.

a Tribute to my pal William Lever from 2016.

"The Last Dream of Sir William Lever" as we've imagined it years ago... rushing into the Grand Canyon in a wheelchair, sexy nurses, Bukowski's poetry.

My friend William Lever passed away last week. A most genuine man of excellent tastes in music, literature and art.
A friendship of seven years, roommates for almost 6 months during my many trips to downtown Phoenix between 2015 and 2019.
I will always remember his voice and everything we've shared.
So sad.

Congrats to my friend of ten years now, @dogo, for his new book in French.

Way back in 2011, I drew the bookcover of his little zen book "Kill Your Self, life after ego", as seen on the original English version, on the right.

Posters and music,

Australian singer songwriter Courtney Barnett, after seeing her perform at The Van Buren in Phoenix in October 2018.

The Darts, Phoenix-based female punk-rock band with my friend Christina on the bass guitar. I saw them play at Lost Leaf in Phoenix, but also twice in France, in Bourges 2017 and Evreux 2019.

Based on Japanese poet Nanao Sakaki, I drew this in 2013, and sold the original drawing in 2018.

words by nanao Sakaki say:
"If you have time to chatter,
Read books.

If you have time to read,
Walk into mountain, desert and ocean.

If you have time to walk,
Sing songs and dance.

If you have time to dance,
Sit quietly, you happy, lucky idiot."

What looks like love in the midst of a pandemic. She came into my life early June. Kind and calm, tomorrow is her birthday.

Drawings from my last trip to Phoenix Az, Oct 2019.
